What I do & Why

Welcome to Nutrition Designed! I am Yvonne Matthews, holistic nutritionist. There are a lot of theories out there on what nutrition means and what nutritionists do. I know some of you might be scared or intimidated by the thought of seeing a nutritionist. Fearful that a nutritionist will tell you that everything you are eating is bad and that you have to live on seaweed and sauerkraut. No more chocolate, coffee or pizza. Well, I am here to tell you that there are ALL KINDS of nutritionists and dietitians out there. You have to find the one that is the right fit for YOU.

My mission is to make you feel your best, live your most fun and happy life, while letting food be something with which you nourish your body to do all those wonderful things.

Whether that’s healing an illness or disease, or simply wanting some education on food and what it can do for your body. Additionally, as a culture we can put a lot of emotions into food and what we consume. Nothing is black and white. What works for one may not work for another. A large part of what we do should simply be based on doing what feels right to you.

I believe that food can be healing and enjoyable. Take it from someone who loves to eat in restaurants and experience new things all the time. Isn’t that part of the joy of life? The key is finding that individual and balanced approach that works for you. So no matter what it is that brings you to see a nutritionist (myself or otherwise) make sure it’s a good fit for both of you.
