My New Years Eve celebration dinner at Picca. Best restaurant I have been to since Red Medicine! You just Must go!
29 going on 30
So today I turn 29.
My good friends from work helped me kick off the celebration with a little Susie Cake at lunch! Yum!
29, in and of it self, isn't that significant of a number.
Unless you start to think about it a little more...
Then you realize this is the last year you will ever be in your 20's! Yikes! So I have one year to get it together.
Just kidding! But, in fact, I was thinking of putting together some sort of challenge for the year. A set of goals to work on this next year for when I do turn 30. I know a few people that have put together a list of "30" things/goals. I am thinking maybe something for each month for the next year? Not sure I will think about it this week and do a post on what I figure out later this week or next.
Any ideas on how to begin to celebrate my last year in my 20's? Did you do anything for your 30th? Would you if you could do it over?

BluePrint Cleanse Review
I promised this post a long time ago, and I have been so bad at blogging this month. The reason, I must confess is that I am moving for the first time in 3 years. Which is the longest I have ever stayed in any one apartment since I moved to LA, 7 years ago. Needless to day I have ALOT of stuff to get rid off and pack. Anyhoo... in the previous post I think I mentioned my frustration with starting the Blue Print Cleanse. Once I started the cleanse I was so happy. I was actually never hungry during the cleanse. There was a brief moment in between juice 3, 4 and 5 of the first day where I thought I was hungry. Key word here, "thought". But it turned out to be more the not chewing thing and more a general getting used to that much fluids in my body and things flushing out.

I have never been a proponent of detoxing your body in extreme ways. I am a firm believer that your body was made to naturally detox. I am a runner and avid outdoors girl and I believe that all the good fresh produce I eat, the nearly 120 ounces of water I drink and my daily sweat is about all I need to detox. Though back when I was bartending in Hollywood, about 5 years ago, I did try the Master Cleanse. It was the most awful experience. I was so sick, I had to be sent home from work on the second day. It was supposed to last for 7 days. That didn't happen. I vowed to never do a juice cleanse again!

Little Tokyo Food Tour
Last Saturday I scheduled a Six Taste food tour of Little Tokyo as part of the Georgetown University Alumni group of Los Angeles. Of course planned months in advance, no one could have predicted that just days before this tour, would provide us with one of the most devastating disasters in Japanese history.
